How many shorts should you post per day to break through?

On a new channel or account, aim for three to five shorts a day. That is the pace most accounts that take off in a few months keep. Below one a day, you do not give the algorithm enough material to learn who to show you to.

It is not carved in stone: two genuinely strong videos beat five sloppy ones. But early on you do not know what works yet, so volume is how you find out.

Organic reach is a numbers game. Each short is a lottery ticket: most get few views, and every so often one explodes and brings in thousands of people. The more you post, the more chances you get to hit the one that breaks through.

An account that posts a hundred videos in a month mechanically has more shots at standing out than one that posts ten.

Early on, quantity IS how you learn quality. Every video teaches you which hook catches, which topic lands, which format retains. You cannot figure that out by thinking, only by posting.

Keep a quality floor (decent audio, readable captions, a real hook), then push volume. Do not spend three days on one perfect video that flops like the rest.

The secret is not filming more, it is recycling. A single long video or podcast episode holds enough for ten shorts. One cutting session gives you one to two weeks ahead.

Work in batches: edit several clips at once, schedule them, and forget about it.

Posting a lot is useless if nobody watches to the end. Retention, especially in the first two seconds, decides everything. A strong hook on three videos a day beats ten dull ones.
